Don't look a cash horse in the mouth...

Q:  Can we ask our wedding guest to give cash instead of gifts?

A:  Nope... but what you can do is spread the word through your bridesmaids and family. When someone asks them, they could say money. But not everyone likes to give cash. So, it is always good to register for a few items for people to choose from.

Q:  My maid of honor never gave me a wedding gift, should I say something?

A: Again Nope... I'm sure that your Maid of Honor did more than her fair share helping to plan your wedding and supporting you. Not to mention, that they usually pay for their own ettire, help with showers and a bachelorette party.

On thing to remember when it comes to gifts is that it is a choice. You've invited the person to enjoy your day with you. Not see what they give you. If your guest is gracious enough to bring a gift, then be sure to send a thank you note. But the purpose of the wedding is not to "get" something, it is to share this day with the people you love and care about.
